Here we are upon the verge of another Founders' Day in our Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Each year this day should be increasingly and profoundly reflective, and at the same time we should be bursting with pride, as we think about the achievements of our Brothers and note the progress of the Fraternity in general.

Oh yes, we see bickering, unrest and anxiety as those renegade and pig-pen Kappas create havoc and create some problems within this great body, but my humble observations indicate to me that you who are in the leadership roles of this Fraternity are right on target . . . take heart and feel comforted in knowing that those Founding Brothers whose hearts, ideas and determination, with the favor of a guiding God, established this Fraternity, look down upon you with favor, pride and spiritual support.

Continue your forward movement in unity. (Oh, I know there is not always agreement. It shouldn't be, but move forward in harmony.)

The new calendar year and this new Founders year offer new opportunity for higher standards and greater achievements, individually and as a Fraternity collectively.

But all of my observations indicate to me that you who are in the leadership role of this Fraternity are right on target, take heart, and Let us continue with leadership in the same spirit as those founding brothers, and with the guidance of our Heavenly Father, and all will be well.

You are a leader in this Fraternity, appointed or elected, because there are brothers in this fraternity who have, obviously, been impressed by your obvious commitment, love, and potential or demonstrated leadership qualities.

During this Founding and Calendar year, continue in your unswerving devotion, using your God given talents and creative imagination that will enable this Fraternity to continue its high quality of Brotherhood, and the ultimate of Fraternal service in its Guide Right and Social Action programs.

You, my Bothers are , and should be, the strongest link in this Fraternity, not only setting the mark, but also laying out the guidelines, the work plan, for others to follow.

As we move forward into another Founding Year and another Calendar Year, we as a Fraternity have another opportunity to create Higher standards as we move forward together in true Brotherhood.

I pray God's special blessings upon you individually and his guiding hand upon you as Unified Leaders of this our Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.
