Subject: Alumni Chapter Election of Officers

In accordance with the National Constitution and Statutes of Kappa Alpha Psi, all alumni chapters shall elect officers during their regular monthly meeting in May, and induct those newly elected officers as the last order of business at the regular monthly meeting in June. It is a further requirement of our National Constitution and Statutes that only fully financial members shall be eligible to vote, hold elective or appointive office, or serve on any chapter committee, even as a volunteer. A member is "fully financial" only if he has paid all dues and assessments at each administrative level of our fraternity . . . Grand Chapter, the Middle Western Province, and your local chapter.

Therefore, as you prepare for your election of officers, we have provided a list of your chapter members who are "in good standing" with Grand Chapter and the Middle Western Province, and we have placed that list on your chapter's private "Yahoo!Groups" site. The report is in the "Files" section where you will find "Reports From Province" in which there is a folder labeled "Membership" where you will find a roster of your chapter members as of April 29, 2003. If a member is listed as owing ANY money to the province or to Grand Chapter, he is NOT eligible to vote or be a candidate for office.

You may recall that we announced at the recent Province Council Meeting that we would be utilizing the services of "Yahoo!Groups" for the transmission of fraternity reports and the exchange of information vital to the administration of our province and your local chapter. Hence, if you haven't registered for your FREE "Yahoo I.D." through that service, you must do so in order to fully utilize the features available to you and the members of your chapter. If there are any members of your chapter who have not yet been subscribed to your chapter's site, they may request inclusion by selecting "Join This Group" on your chapter's site after they have registered for a "Yahoo!
