To: Members of the Middle Western Province From: Charles Wesley Morgan, III - Keeper of Records & Exchequer
Subject: NEW Province Polemarch Brothers, Effective today, December 23, 2003, Grand Polemarch Samuel C. Hamilton has appointed Brother Elmer J. Crumbley of the Omaha Alumni Chapter as Polemarch of the Middle Western Province. Brother Crumbley is one of the "best and brightest" members of the Middle Western Province who has what may well be the most varied and distinguished fraternity career within our province, having served his local chapter as Polemarch, Keeper of Records and Exchequer, Board Member, Membership Intake Chairman, Director of Guide Right and Director of Reclamation.
At the province level, Brother Crumbley has served as Chairman of the Achievement Awards Committee, Chairman of the Nominating Committee, Balloting Committee Chairman, Undergraduate Loan Fund Committee Co-Chairman, Alpha Eta Chapter Advisor, and was serving as a member of the Province Board of Directors and Province Chairman of the Undergraduate Advisors Committee when he accepted the Grand Polemarch's appointment to the highest office in our province. He is also renown in our province for the high caliber of training that he has given to Chapter Advisors and Membership Intake Chairmen, in particular, and many other officers and members who have been fortunate enough to experience his unique, inspiring and informative training sessions. His service to the Grand Chapter has included, among other things, membership on the Laurel Wreath Commission, the National Achievement Commission and the National Advisors Committee. He had recently accepted the Grand Polemarch's appointment as National Advisors Committee Chairman. His proven record is one of service and dedication to Kappa Alpha Psi, the Omaha Alumni Chapter, and the Middle Western Province. He has not only worked tirelessly at a multitude of tasks in every administrative level of our fraternity, he has "been there" when so many of us found other things to do. For more than a dozen years, Brother Crumbley has attended EVERY Province Council, and he has been present at EVERY C. Rodger Wilson Leadership Conference. In our province, his attendance record is unsurpassed during that time frame. Brother Crumbley is the consummate Kappa man who has lived by our fraternity creed and fulfilled our fundamental purpose of achievement both in his Kappa career and his chosen field of endeavor. He is a professional educator who has been recognized and awarded by his peers locally, regionally and nationally, having received, among other things, the Nebraska Governor's Art Administrator of the Year Award. As Principal of Omaha's Skinner Magnet Center (named in honor of our Brother Eugene W. Skinner), Brother Crumbley has made his mark and continues to blaze new trails for others to follow. Initiated in 1976 through the Omaha Alumni Chapter, Brother Crumbley is a Life Member of Kappa Alpha Psi, a Life Member of the Middle Western Province, and his many unselfish exploits have earned him the acclaim of our province as a recipient of our highest honor, the Lifetime Achievement Award, conferred at the 81st Province Council. Clearly, his appointment by our Grand Polemarch is well deserved, and we join in wishing him congratulations and best wishes for continued success. Here's to Brother Crumbley! Congratulatory messages may be conveyed to him at Polemarch@KAPsiMWP.com or by telephone at (402) 932-7048.
Yours in the Bond, |
