To: Members of the Middle Western Province From: Elmer J. Crumbley
Subject: Laurel Wreath Nominee and Elder Watson Diggs Awardee One KAPPA Brothers! On behalf of the officers and members of the Middle Western Province, we extend best wishes to Brother Michael V. Roberts, Sr. and our most sincere congratulations to Brother Donald C. Bland. I am very pleased to announce that Brother Roberts of the St. Louis Alumni Chapter has been approved by the Laurel Wreath Commission and the Grand Board of Directors to be placed on the ballot at the 79th Grand Chapter Meeting as a candidate for our fraternity's highest award, the Laurel Wreath. To be approved to receive that award at the 2011 Grand Chapter Meeting, Brother Roberts must now obtain the affirmative vote of at least 75% of the total number of voting delegates at the Grand Chapter Meeting in Washington D.C. this August. We're very proud of this achievement by Brother Roberts and look forward to supporting his candidacy at this summer's Grand Chapter Meeting. Additionally, I am delighted to announce that Brother Bland of the Fayetteville Alumni Chapter has been selected by the Achievement Commission and the Grand Board of Directors to receive an Elder Watson Diggs Award at the upcoming Grand Chapter Meeting. The Elder Watson Diggs Award is our fraternity's second highest honor. We only bestow a maximum of five such awards at any Grand Chapter Meeting, which is an indication of the high esteem of this great honor. The Middle Western Province is well represented by both of these members and we are eager to show them our support.
Yours in the Bond, |
