C. Rodger Wilson Leadership Conference Registration    
 


A note from our CRWLC Chairman—Brother Shannon Armstrong:

The next C. Rodger Wilson Leadership Conference (CRWLC) will be held on Friday, October 14, 2011 in Langston, Oklahoma. The 2011 CRWLC will commence promptly at 8:30 and end at 5:00. The attire for the conference is Crimson Blazer, black slacks (or Dark Suit) & Kappa Tie. The site for the CRWLC will be the historical Langston University (Allied Health Building—see Campus Map) located at 701 West Sammie Davis Junior Drive Langston, OK 73050 hosted by Alpha Pi. The host hotel for the conference will be Holiday Inn & Suites, 3840 East 2nd Street, Edmond, OK 73034, Telephone: 1-(405) 844-3700.

Brothers, there will be a cash prize for the chapter that brings the most Kappa Leaguers/Guide Right members Saturday to Langston’s Homecoming. We are in the process of coordinating a campus tour for all Kappa Leaguers/Guide Right members in attendance.

Brothers, similar to last year, the 2011 CRWLC will be a streamline process focused on training and undergraduate and alumni relations. Therefore, all sessions will start promptly as scheduled. Further, in an effort to timely start CRWLC, please find attached a pre-registration form that should be completed and mailed by Monday, October 3, 2011 to the Province Keeper of Records at: 15 Morgan Street, St. Louis, MO 63102. This will not only allow us to start CRWLC on time but also the pre-registration will provide an accurate headcount for Breakfast and Lunch at the Conference.

ALL brothers are invited to attend and each chapter is REQUIRED to be represented by the following chapter officers:

• Polemarch
• Vice Polemarch
• Keeper of Records
• Keeper of Exchequer
• Membership Intake Chairman
• Undergraduate Chapter Advisor(s)

Failure to be represented by the above officers will result in your chapter being DE-CERTIFIED and the chapter will NOT be allowed to operate in the name of Kappa Alpha Psi. Each chapter of our province received an officer training video on DVD at our last Province Council. While the video training is valuable information for ALL chapter members, it is “must viewing” for your chapter’s executive officers. We are eager to respond to questions and offer clarification regarding any of the items presented in that training video, but the focus of this year’s training will be on new information and topics that have been updated or modified since last year. Therefore, if you have questions about the content of the training video, please be prepared to ask them at the designated time.

The following items and payments must accompany your delegates to the C. Rodger Wilson Leadership Conference:

• Chapter Certification Form
• Annual Insurance Premium ($600 for alumni chapters and $400 for undergraduate chapters)
• Annual Kappa Foundation Contribution ($100 for alumni chapters and $50 for undergraduate chapters)
• Annual Province Participation Fee ($150 for alumni chapters and $75 for undergraduate chapters)
• Statement of Collaboration for undergraduate chapters
• Personal Liability, Responsibility and Compliance Form for undergraduate chapters
• Cooperation Agreement
• Undergraduate Chapter Officer Report

The conference registration fee is $30 per member for any member initiated prior to the 86th Province Council in 2008. Any member initiated at or after the 86th Province Council has already paid the cost of registration as it was included in their initiation fee. The registration fee includes a meal for all delegates. You are asked to send your $30 registration fee to our Province Headquarters, postmarked not later than August 29th for the conference in Colorado Springs and not later than September 12th for the conference in Kansas City. In order for us to plan for sufficient meals and materials, we need to have a “count” confirmed several days in advance of each conference.
