Brothers of the Middle Western Province: Thank you for your tremendous support during the 80th Grand Chapter meeting. I believe all would agree that we had a phenomenal Centennial Celebration and we took care of the business at hand. I want to thank the Province Executive Committee for their thorough and tireless work before and during the 80th Grand Chapter meeting. I want to thank Board Members Vic Beanum and Chris McGaughy for their leadership and tenacity in supporting our efforts. Thank you to Brothers Kriston Guillot, Ryan Ross, Mike Franklin, Mychal Bridges, Anthony Gray, Elson Dilworth, Kevin Burnett, Jr. for their work in pulling all aspects of the Grand Chapter meeting and the Centennial Celebration together. All of these Brothers went above the call of duty to ensure our success. And thank you to all the Chapter Polemarchs who ensured their chapters were in compliance and credentialed. Let's congratulate our Laurel Wreath Laureate, Brother Michael Roberts and Elder Watson Diggs Awardee Charles "Ceedy" Morgan. We should all be proud that the Middle Western Province continues to produce candidates for our fraternity¹s highest awards. We are blessed again to continue leadership on the Grand Board with the election of Brothers Reuben Shelton and Stanton Parker. It is exciting that the Middle Western Province will help shape the second Century of Kappa Alpha Psi. Again, thank you for trusting and supporting this 18th Administration. We are energized and excited about the 32nd Grand Polemarch, William Randy Bates. His theme, "100 Years and Building: The Journey Continues" will be our rallying cry. Our efforts in Kappa Alpha Psi are indeed a part of a journey and it is my hope that we can stay focused and on the right path to fulfilling our founders¹ dream. Our guidepost will be our fundamental purpose of Achievement. Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity has celebrated 100 years, but now it is time to set the course for the next 100 years. Under the leadership of Grand Polemarch Bates, we will make a difference in the communities we serve at unprecedented levels. We need to look at what we have done well, and what we can do better. And we need to continue to train for leadership. As Grand Polemarch Bates says in his message to the Brothers, ³It is our time, as One KAPPA, to reexamine the bridges that have brought us to this place. It's our time to make sure that each bridge is sound enough to carry the traffic that will be coming in our second century. Please go to the updated site at http://www.kappaalphapsi1911.com to read his message to the Brothers. Now that the politics and the party are over, What about Guide Right? We will lead the entire fraternity in Guide Right with a goal of 1000 Kappa Leaguers by 2013. It is my belief that with a unified Province, that we will be the example for all others to follow. Brothers, we will rise up together. Yours in the Bond, Clifford Franklin Polemarch Middle Western Province |
