About the Institute:

The Undergraduate Leadership Institute is a highly structured and intense leadership experience designed to increase undergraduates’ capacity to lead in multiple contexts—in the fraternity, on campus, and/or in their communities. Small group discussion, large group lecture, and case study analysis will provide a rich learning environment for brothers to reframe and reinforce their approach to leadership. Invited speakers and panelists will compliment the institute by reinforcing the curriculum with practical examples based on their extensive leadership experiences and knowledge.
As an Undergraduate Leadership Institute participant, you will:

- Learn ways to improve your chapter
- Network and fellowship with fraternity leaders and undergraduate brothers
- Understand and appreciate leadership styles similar to and different from your own
- Engage in meaningful dialogue about the concept of leadership in the 21st century

Expenses:
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. will provide meals, travel and lodging accommodations. |

| How To Apply:
Submit the following items to Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., International Headquarters, ATTN: André G. Early, Director of Undergraduate & University Affairs, 2322-24 North Broad Street – Philadelphia, PA 19132 by no later than FRIDAY, MARCH 5, 2010:

- A completed Undergraduate Leadership Institute Application with the appropriate signatures
- An official transcript (sealed and addressed to the attention of André G. Early – Director of Undergraduate & University Affairs)
- A current résumé
- A black and white or color photograph – at least 4” X 6” (for submission to the Journal)
- Submit a response to the question, “What constitutes leadership?” Essay should be word processed and double spaced in 12-point Times New Roman font with 1-inch margins around; essay should be two to three (2-3) pages.
- Three letters of reference referring to your leadership potential: One from your chapter advisor, one from the Director of Greek Life, and one from a professor in your field of study.

Who can apply?
Undergraduate members in good standing within the fraternity and college/university community are eligible to apply for consideration. Graduates or students not returning to their campuses for the 2010-2011 academic year are ineligible to apply. |
